Vehicle Maintenance
Our fleet of Mercedes-Benz vehicles are maintained to the highest standards possible. Each and every vehicle is serviced and maintained by Mercedes-Benz of Southampton as frequently as 4 to 5 times per year.
Alongside each service or maintenance visit our vehicles undergo a full health check. No expense is spared inn looking after our fleet and only genuine Mercedes-Benz parts are used. The level of service applied by Mercedes-Benz Technicians is second to none.
In addition to the service and maintenance schedule, each vehicle is required to undergo a compliance test and M.O.T. test every year.

Our highly trained technicians have been maintaining and servicing their entire fleet for several years now. Hampshire Executive Travel insist on the very highest of standards with no expense spared and as such have a fleet of Mercedes-Benz vehicles to be proud of.
Licensing
Hampshire Executive Travel is licensed as a Private Hire Operator by our licensing authority Southampton City Council (Licence number: OP228). All our vehicles are licensed as a Private Hire Vehicles by Southampton City Council. All our chauffeurs must hold a valid private hire license issued by the authority. To acquire a licence each applicant must adhere to the following:
- Be aged over 21
- Have held full licence for at least two years
- Pass a basic skills assessment
- Pass a BTech in driving skills assessment
- Provide a medical report from the applicant’s own medical practitioner certifying that they are fit to a Group 2 standard in accordance with the current DVLA medical standards of fitness to drive
- Consent to an enhanced criminal record disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service
- Consent to a driving history check from the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency.
Driver Recruitment and Training
At Hampshire Executive Travel we pride ourselves on our successful recruitment of professional chauffeurs.
Applicants must pass recruitment procedures which include theoretical and practical driving skills assessment resulting in a B-Tech qualification, a lengthy process that ensures our chauffeurs are of the highest calibre.
Tyres
The choice of tyres is not one to be taken lightly. After in-depth research, Hampshire Executive Travel only fit Pirelli Tyres to our vehicles. Mercedes-Benz and Pirelli Tyres are a perfect combination of technology and innovation, resulting in the perfect marriage of two of the worlds leading brands.
